We offer our services to private clients, study groups and community water sources

Certified sterile vials are available and can be purchased through the Stanford General Store or our online store and shipped directly to your home with written sample collection instructions.

Our bottles are certified to test for coliform bacteria, including E. coli and the method we use is a 24 hour test and cost starts at $35 per sample.

Once the one-day incubation period is over we can send you your test result by email. We can test samples any day of the week and 365 days a year.

We can also offer sample collection service to your home by trained personnel for an additional cost.

How it works

This easy-to-use water bacteria test, can be used to check the presence of coliform bacteria with simultaneous E.coli detection.

Get our certified sterile bottle directly at the counter of our physical Stanford General Store or in our online store.

Once you have one of our certified bottles with you, follow the written instructions we will provide you to take a sample from your water source.

Once the sample has been collected, you have a 12-hour period to deliver it directly to us at the Stanford General Store counter cashier.



Upon receipt of the sample we will start the analysis process, the incubation period for the detection of coliform bacteria, including E. coli lasts 24 hours.

Once the results are available they will be emailed to you. If bacteria are found, we can recommend ways to disinfect your well and retest after disinfecting the water.

We are licensed to help you with water treatment and sanitation. We can also test your water chemistry information for processing.

About us

We are a State-certified water testing laboratory in The White Mountains, Az.

We are certified by the ADHS as an Environmental Laboratory and many of our clients have been using our lab for several years, and we do most of the testing for cities, realtors, well drillers, and private water systems.

We are also licensed to help you with water treatment and sanitation. We can also test for water chemistry.

We conduct this proficiency test annually to maintain our certification with the Arizona Department of Health Services.

Our laboratory hours are 9-6 daily, and we are located at “4 Apache County Road 8235” in Vernon. Come to the Hwy60/Hwy61 “Y”, which is 10 miles NE of Show Low Airport. Take Hwy 60 (Duece of Clubs in Show Low) to the “Y”, turn left onto Hwy 61.

The laboratory is inside Stanford General Store, which is across the street from the Dollar General on Stanford Road.
